Need to order your repeat prescription?
You can order using any of these ways:
All patients who receive repeat medication should have repeat slips with the allowed treatment. This slip can be completed to indicate what medication is required.
We endeavour to complete repeat prescriptions within 2 working days after the request has been made.
We are not a dispensing practice. However, a number of chemists collect prescriptions daily on your behalf, but you will need to inform us that you have made this request.
Contact the surgery if you would like to speak to someone about your prescription. We do have a pharmacist working in the practice who can answer your questions.
Your local pharmacists can also answer any questions about your prescription along with information on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
Help with NHS costs
In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website.
